The service life of the alternative North – South road will comprise 20 years, an Assistant Engineer of the Design Institute Kyrgyzdortransproekt Emilbek Atambekov said.
According to him, for the first time in Kyrgyzstan, crushed stone and mastic asphalt are used in the construction of a new road.
“The thickness of the asphalt is 16 cm, the load per axle is 12 tons, the width of the road will be from 15 to 30 m, that is, in settlements it will be four-lane, outside settlements – two-lane,” Emilbek Atambekov said.
The total length of the alternative road North – South will be 433 km. Construction began in 2014, it is divided into four phases. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
