Since the beginning of 2017, Ukraine faced a steady growth in cargo handling rates in the seaports. Many factors contributed to such development, including the increased export volumes of grains, and coal imports. However, the industry plans to improve further transshipment rates by starting new investment projects, developing and constructing new port facilities, dredging and revising of the port charges. The above-mentioned measures will contribute to development of even greater dynamics of growth, said the Head of the State Enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, Raivis Veckagans.
