Ukraine’s Ministry of Infrastructure has approved a 75%-discount for the oil transiting tankers that enter the Yuzhne port, and for the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline.
The decision creates favorable terms for oil transiting using the Odessa-Brody pipeline.
“The Tariffs Committee of Ukraine’s Infrastructure Ministry granted Ukrtransnafta’s appeal to set the economically favorable tariffs for port duties on the tankers entering the Yuzhne port”, said Andrey Pasishnik, first deputy director general of Ukrtransnafta, which is Ukraine’s state company and oil transportation system operator.
Pasishnik added that the Tariffs Committee introduced a 75%-discount on port duties for the tankers entering the Yuzhne port in transit regime.
Odessa-Brody oil transport project is aimed at diversification of the oil supply to Ukrainian refineries and developing the country’s transit opportunities. The construction of Odessa-Brody was completed in May 2002.
The length of the pipeline is 674 kilometers, while the diameter of the pipe is to 1,020 millimeters. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
