Russian electronics manufacturers maintain a high dependence on foreign engineering software. For the production of their products, 61% of radio electronics industry enterprises continue to use foreign computer-aided design (CAD) systems, reported Ivan Kuzmenko, deputy director of the Department of Digital Technologies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Such data was mentioned at the forum «Electronics of Russia 2025», writes «Vedomosti».
CAD systems include BIM (building information modeling) systems, ERP (enterprise resource planning), PLM and MES (product life cycle and production process management systems), as well as CAD and CAM (systems for automated design and implementation). Domestic developments are mainly represented in MES solutions (64% of enterprises use them), ERP (73%) and CAM (60%). At the same time, PLM systems, without which, according to Kuzmenko, it is impossible to create any modern industrial production, Russian radio electronics enterprises almost do not use. 17% only implement them, 40% plan to do so within three years, and 26% have not determined the implementation period or do not consider it necessary (The Moscow Times).
