Flights at Georgia’s western Kutaisi international airport will be resumed on October 31.
The airport has been closed since October 10 for maintenance works on its runway.
The two-week work included construction of the new 3-kilometre runway to ensure the airport’s ability to receive larger aircraft and make operations more flexible.
Airlines operating through the airport have rearranged their flight schedules to allow for the renovation effort and have been performing flights to Tbilisi international airport during the two-week pause. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
