In January-July the network of Russian Railways loaded 703.9 million tons, up by 1.8% YoY, the company’s press center says.
In the reported period the railways shipped the following goods: coal – 187.7 million tons (up by 3.8% YoY); coke – 6.6 million tons (+1.5%); crude and oil products – 136.5 million tons (-7.8%); iron and manganese ores – 63.9 million tons (+1.4%); ferrous metal – 41.4 million tons (-1.5%); ferrous metal scrap – 8.3 million tons (-4.1%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 30.6 million tons (+2.7%); cement – 15.7 million tons (-5.4%); forest cargo – 25.5 million tons (+7.6%); grain – 9.5 million tons (+6.9%); construction materials – 83.4 million tons (+19%); non-ferrous ore and sulfur feedstock – 12.3 million tons (+4.3%); chemicals and soda – 14.8 million tons (+1.8%); industrial feedstock and molded materials – 19.3 million tons (-0.1%).
From the year beginning freight turnover totaled 1,338.2 billion tariff ton-km (+1.4%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 1,713.7 billion ton-km (+1%).
In July, Russian Railways loaded 104.4 million tons, up by 1.6% YoY. Freight turnover in July climbed by 0.5% to 197.6 billion tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs declined by 0.1% to 251.6 billion ton-km. (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
