The public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia has denied information that the company has allegedly been involved in transportation of military cargo from Russia to Transdniestria.
“According to the information from the automated systems of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, the transportation of military cargoes indicated in the application was not carried out from the Russian Federation to Transdniestria,” the company said.
According to the document, Ukrzaliznytsia when transporting goods in international (export, import and transit) directions is guided by the legislation of Ukraine and international legal documents. Cargo transportation is carried out according to the requirements of the Agreement on International Freight Traffic by Rail (SMGS) and is liable in accordance with their requirements.
“Transportation of military cargoes is carried out with the permission of the relevant competent authorities of Ukraine, in accordance with government resolution No. 1807 dated November 20, 2003, and resolution No. 86 dated January 28, 2004, in particular, the State Export Control Service and Export-Technical Committee. Transit shipments of military and dual-use goods through Ukraine are carried out only if the cargo owner receives the relevant authorization documents issued by the competent authorities of Ukraine,” the company said.
