According to territorial directorates of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), in July Russia exported 3.6 million tons of grains and by-products on the basis of issued phytosanitary certificates, up by 12% YoY.
In particular, grains formed the major share of the reporting foreign supplies – 3.14 million tons (up by 8% YoY). Also, the exports of grain by-products increased by 32% to 162 thousand tons, pulses – by 114% to 112 thousand tons, forages and mixed fodder – by 109% to 104 thousand tons.
At the same time, exports of oilseeds decreased by 6% to 52 thousand tons.
Last month the geography of Russian grain deliveries somewhat enlarged. In July 2015 the country supplied grains to 87 countries, this year – to 91 countries, Rosselkhoznadzor reported.
Turkey became the leader of grain purchasing from Russia, and significantly increased the imports compared with the previous year (up by 124%), with the volume of 825 thousand tons or 23% of the general export structure.
Saudi Arabia increased grain purchasing volumes – 400 thousand tons (up by 7%, the share reached 11.2%), Bangladesh – 199 thousand tons (up 1854 times, the share of 5.6%), South Africa – 150 thousand tons (up by 45%, the share of 4.2%), Nigeria – 135 thousand tons (up by 100%, the share of 3.8%), and Yemen – 108 thousand tons (up by 279%, the share of 3%).
At the same time, the exports to Egypt decreased – 436 thousand tons (down by 12%, and 12.2%), Libya – 183 thousand tons (down by 6%, and 5.1%), Azerbaijan – 82 thousand tons (down by 16%, and 2.3%), Iran – 81 thousand tons (down by 64%, and 2.3%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
