Iranian Communications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi said that Tehran was in talks with the Roscosmos corporation on the implementation details of the nuclear project in Iran and was trying to agree on a suitable price.
Tehran and Russia’s Roscosmos space corporation agreed on the general design, development and launching of a remote-sensing satellite for the needs of the Middle Eastern country and were negotiating the financial aspect of the deal, Mahmoud Vaezi said.
“At the moment, we are in talks with the Roscosmos corporation on the implementation details of the project and are trying to agree on a suitable price”, Vaezi said.
Last month, after his visit to Russia, Vaezi said that the construction of the satellite was expected to last for two years.
In January, Roscosmos General Director Igor Komarov confirmed negotiations were underway on launching a satellite for Iran, adding that the Russian space agency was in talks with Tehran on the possible training of an Iranian astronaut for a space mission. (Russian Aviation/Business World Magazine)
