The document specifying how much food Belarus and Russia intend to trade in with each other in 2017 has been preapproved, Alexei Bogdanov, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, reported on April 27.
According to him, a joint session of the boards of the Belarusian and Russian agriculture ministries has been rescheduled for now.
“We are waiting for an answer from the Russian side. But the trade balance of the mutual food shipments has been preapproved already. Getting the document approved during a joint session of the boards is all that’s left. Trade figures will be roughly on par with last year’s. The increase will be within 1%,” said the official.
