More and more companies not only welcome but also motivate banks to develop digital services, as stated in results of Swedbank’s study.
Digital services are viewed by businessmen as a major factor. They help businesses organize their work more effectively, as well as save time and ensure much better monitoring of the process.
The second most important factor for cooperation between businessmen and banks is speed – the possibility of receiving the desired service as quickly as possible. The third factor is having trusted contacts in banks. Several tendencies popped up in the analysis of data for different industries. This includes the fact that companies engaged in agriculture, real estate and construction find having partners in banks is no less important than having accessible digital services.
The second most important priority for companies in manufacture and energy industries is clear and comprehensible contract conditions.
“Businesses actively use Internet banking services, Swedbank’s mobile app and Smart-ID, payment portal Gateway accounting tool and Swedbank Business Network Platform. This new addition is especially welcomed by small companies that find it more convenient to entrust IT matters to existing Internet programs,” the bank’s representatives say.
They note that more Latvian companies offer clients the option to process payments using cards. The number of locations that accept bank cards has grown by half in the past five years. Last year, the number of trade locations using card terminals reached 41,613.
